Remember the outrageous claims by certain UK papers that May will be coldest on record.
As usual when they get it wrong you never hear about it again.
One day they will, by luck get it right and then the page announcing months before will be shown in their paper.
There are too many factors to take into account to make any kind of long or medium accurate forecast.
Any such forecast will be right by luck alone.
Obviously i could ppredict that it will be warmer in June - August than in December - February..
But rainfall etc can only accurately be forecast 7 days ahead, likely prediction 7 -14 days ahead and educated guess with some accuracy 14 - 21 days ahead.
So when some expert in a paper does get it right, months in advance, remember the many times they got it very wrong. Guess enough times and anyone could get lucky.
