MISSION STATEMENT
To provide timely warnings and advice to the public of severe weather events that could effect their lives, homes or businesses from flood water. To allow interactive discussions from members to help forecast and warn of any likely flood issues to allow early intervention and sharing of information
THE AIMS OF FLOOD WARN WEBSITE
To advise and support communities and individuals that flood or are at flood risk
To raise awareness of the needs of flood victims both business and residential that experience flooding
To encourage the establishment of community led forums for support, information sharing and latest products to limit their future risk of flooding or at minimum to help forecast risk to enable early intervention
To assist multi-agency collaboration and mediation between those that flood, those who provide rescue and flood products, and those that manage flood risk including emergency response agencys that respond to flooding situations.
To organise flood forums to provide public information and advice from the public and members of the site on actual flooding and flood prediction by weather data. We also have links to, government agencies that are essential to monitor during severe weather
To provide links where possible to the following agencys - Government departments , The Environment Agency, Sepa, Met office, weather data, Local Authorities and flood Communities
We provide the following free services - Weather forum for extreme weather that could cause flooding within the UK. Reports and links regarding Flooding, latest, river levels and weather forecast latest information. We Link too river webcams, mostly river webcams from other web sites. We have a flood forum, where users can keep everyone informed of the latest river levels and submit pictures. We link to reputable companies that supply flood products. We offer flood help and advice. The weather warnings are issued by The UK Meteorological office. Its all here - flood prevention, flood warnings and flood alerts for flooding any where in the UK. The Wales, England and Northern Ireland flood warnings are issued by the Enviroment agency and in Scotland by SEPA
